Glide Hosting Privacy Policy

Please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy. This Policy is in place to clarify Glide Hosting's stance with regards to the use of information on its web sites and servers. It is designed to present customers with a clear definition of our intentions with regards to privacy and security and to act as a dispute resolution mechanism for any issues that may arise between Glide Hosting and its customers. Please familiarize yourself with this policy before registering for any of our services. By registering for any of Glide Hosting's services, you are stating that you have read and accept all of the terms and conditions outlined in this privacy statement.

Section (1) - Personal Information

When registering for services through any of Glide Hosting's web sites, you will be required to provide some personal information such as name, address, email, and other contact information. This information will be collected and stored on Glide Hosting's servers and in our records. This information will be used solely as contact information for Glide Hosting's staff. From time to time this information will be used to contact you with regards to issues directly relating to your account. At no time will we sell, or provide your personal information to any third party with the exception of the following circumstances:

• Your personal information may be posted to our domain registrar (DotRegistrar.com - operated by iHoldings.com Inc.) in the automated registration or transfer of domain names as requested by you.
• If you choose to use PayPal (Paypal, Inc.) as your method of payment, your personal information will be securely posted to PayPal's servers for the population of their registration forms. It is your choice to submit your personal information to PayPal through any registration form on their system.

Glide Hosting uses third party payment processors for credit card payments (see Section 2). Customers may be required to provide personal information to these third parties in order to process payments. Glide Hosting is not responsible for any misuse of such personal information by these third parties and any information submitted to such parties is done at the sole discretion of the customer.

Section (2) - Payment Information

With the exception of Cash, Cheque, or Money Order Payments, we use third party payment processors on our system. At no time will Glide Hosting request credit card or any other vital financial information from its customers through any of our web sites. Any financial information submitted to PayPal.com (Paypal, Inc.) or InternetSecure Inc. is done so at the sole discretion of the customer. Glide Hosting is not responsible for any damages resulting from the handling of financial information by the above mentioned third parties.

Section (3) - Use of Cookies / Sessions

Occasionally, Glide Hosting will set a cookie on visitor's to our web sites computer which may contain information about the user or user's internet connection (such as IP address, browser type, and more). These cookies are used for the functioning of our web site only. Information stored in cookies such as IP addresses and login information is used as a means of security to prevent the fraudulent use of password-protected areas of our web site. Cookies set by Glide Hosting are not used by Glide Hosting or any third party for tracking or marketing purposes.

From time to time, Glide Hosting's web sites may contain banner or text based advertising links provided by third parties. These third parties may choose to set cookies on visitors computers. Glide Hosting is not responsible for cookies set by any such third party. Glide Hosting will work to prevent any undesirable use of cookies set by third party advertisers through our web sites. If you are at all uncomfortable at all with the use of cookies, you may disable your browser's use of them (refer to your browser's documentation for instructions regarding this). Glide Hosting's web sites will function 100% without the use of cookies.

Section (4) - Logging

Glide Hosting may log the IP addresses of users of any of the services running on its servers including but not limited to our web server, ftp server, email server, and database server software. This information is used to monitor trends and analyze typical usage statistics on these services. Such logging is important in allowing Glide Hosting to provide the highest level of service possible. In addition, these log files are a vital tool in preventing, an recovering from a malicious attack in the event of such an occurrence. The use of log files will under no circumstances be used for marketing or soliciting purposes.

Section (5) - Sharing of Service Usage Information

Glide Hosting may at times share overall usage statistics of its services with advertisers or other service providers. This information will not include specific user information such as personal information or IP addresses. This information will cover broad usage statistics such as aggregate web server statistics, or peak usage times and such. As previously mentioned, no personal information will be shared at any time with the exception of the circumstances mentioned in section (1).

Section (6) - Email Contact

Glide Hosting considers Email its primary means of communication with our customers. We will initiate contact with customers through email whenever we deem necessary. Examples of such contact include technical issues related directly to a customer's account, issues related to billing or renewals, or general service notices such as scheduled downtime. Glide Hosting will not solicit business or send out newsletters without a customer specifically requesting such information through our site or communication with our staff.

Section (7) - Telephone Contact

As mentioned above, Glide Hosting considers Email communication its primary means of contact with customers. However, from time to time issues may arise that our staff deem necessary to warrant telephone contact. It is the discretion of Glide Hosting staff to initiate telephone contact through any phone number provided to Glide Hosting by a customer. Telephone contact will generally only be initiated for technical, sales, or billing related issues requiring immediate contact. Telephone numbers will not be used by Glide Hosting or released to third parties for soliciting business from our clients.

Section (8) - Passwords

All users passwords are encrypted on our systems. We keep no plain-text versions of users passwords on either our servers, or in hard copy in our offices. This means that no Glide Hosting staff have access to user passwords. Glide Hosting's staff have the ability to reset passwords in the event that a user forgets their password upon proof of identity, but do not have the ability to release a lost password to a user.

Section (9) - Security

Security is of primary importance to Glide Hosting. We take it upon our self to protect user information as well as our vital system information with the highest priority.

Any attempts by a Glide Hosting customer to compromise security or tamper with another customer's account or personal information will result in the immediate freezing of all of that customer's accounts until further investigation.

Any attempt by an outside individual to compromise any of Glide Hosting's systems or services will be investigated and pursued as the law dictates.

Any suspected activity of this nature should be reported immediately to abuse@glidehosting.com.

Section (10) - Changes of Policy

Glide Hosting reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time, for any reason. Customer's will be notified of any such changes either through email communication or a notification will be posted on our web site.
