..:: Glide Hosting | Acceptable Use Policy: How we maintain our high levels of service

Please take a moment to read and familiarize yourself with Glide Hosting's acceptable use policy (AUP). This AUP is in place to ensure Glide Hosting is able to provide the highest level of service possible. By registering for any of Glide Hosting's services, you are stating that you have read and accept all of the terms and conditions outlined in this AUP.

Section (1) - Glide Hosting Copyright Notice

All materials and content of glidehosting.com are owned and copyrighted by Glide Media Inc. unless otherwise noted. Use or distribution of Glide Hosting's materials and content is strictly prohibited without written permission from Glide Media Inc.

Any intellectual property including, but not limited to, custom software developed by, for use by, Glide Hosting, the Glide Control Panel and Asset Control, Glide Hosting's backend system structure, logos, and any property listed as copyrighted by Glide Media Inc. are copyrighted by Glide Media Inc. and as such are not available for use without written permission from Glide Media Inc. Any customers found to be in violation of this copyright notice will face immediate account freezes on all their accounts until further investigation. Any outside individuals found to be in violation of this copyright notice will be pursued as the law dictates.

Section (2) - Customer Content

The services that Glide Hosting provides are to be used in a lawful manner. As such, a number of categories of material, data, content and images are not to be transmitted, stored, or presented in any manner. These include, but are not limited to:

Web sites that provide links to sites or present content that promote any illegal activity that may be damaging to our servers or any other server on the internet are not permitted.

In addition, Glide Hosting currently does not provide hosting services for adult (pornographic) content. Please contact a customer service representative at sales@glidehosting.com if you require clarification.

Customers agree to take full responsibility for claims and/or damages that may occur to themselves and/or any third parties resulting from their actions and/or materials and content.

Glide Hosting will be the sole judge as to what constitutes a violation of these guidelines.

Section (3) - Unsolicited Email (SPAM)

SPAM refers to the sending of unsolicited email to one or more email addresses from our mail servers. SPAM also refers to referencing an email address hosted by Glide Hosting's mail servers in the headers and/or the body of a SPAM email. The use of SPAM for commercial or non-commercial purposes is strictly prohibited and anyone found to be in violation of this will incur a penalty of no less than $10 per SPAM email, and the suspension of the offending account.

Section (4) - IRC

Glide Hosting does not allow the hosting of any IRC bots, applets or programs on its servers. Please contact a sales representative at sales@glidehosting.com if you require such services.

Section (5) - Forum Software

Forum software is permitted (one installation per hosting account) but due to resource usage, the forum software must support and use MySQL. Glide Hosting recommends phpBB or vBulletin.

Section (6) - Server Misuse/Abuse

Security is of great importance to Glide Hosting and any attempt to disrupt operations of a server or a customer's website is strictly prohibited and will results in the immediate freezing of an offender's accounts without refund.

Section (7) - Right of Refusal

Glide Hosting reserves the right to refuse, freeze or terminate service at any time, for any reason.

Section (8) - Change of Policy

Glide Media Inc. reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time, for any reason. All customers will receive notification of changes to this policy either through email communications or through postings on our web site.
