About Glide Hosting - Company Information

Glide Hosting is the web hosting division of Glide Media Inc., a web development services company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Glide Media Inc. was founded in the fall of 2000 by Dave Metzak and Jamey Gillis as a web design company. In 2001, it was decided that a web hosting operation would benefit Glide Media's customers as well as provide greater stability for the company. Glide Hosting was launched in May of 2002.

From the start it was decided that in order to provide the high level of service necessary for Glide Media's customers, reselling other providers products was not an option. Glide Media contacted Peer 1 Networks, a premium bandwidth and colocation provider in Vancouver. Glide's servers still reside in Peer 1's Vancouver data centre.

In addition to providing high quality service to it's web hosting customers, in the time since launching Glide Hosting, Glide Media has continued to expand on it's web design and development business. Glide offers a wide array of web development services.
